No. The gel is sealed inside the steel ball. Put it in the freezer for cold, or in warm water for heat. Nothing to fill, nothing to leak.

Can I put it in the microwave?
No. The ball is steel. To warm it, leave it in warm water for 3 to 5 minutes and check the temperature on your wrist first.
